Homemade Laundry Soap

Homemade Laundry Soap/detergent:

Ive made this recipe twice now and I can’t tell the difference between homemade and the store bought stuff. Most of the store bought stuff has extra chemicals and is hard on the machine and bad for the environment. This recipe is really easy to make and is easy to customize!

  • 1 1/2 cups Washing soda
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • (Optional) essentail oils, I use Jasmine and lavender
  • add everything to a glass jar and shake to mix!

The smell of the essential oils doesn’t really stay in the clothes, but I like it becuase it smells nice when you open the jar. I store this in a glass mazon jar and use 1 TBSP for a small load and 2 TBSP for a large or extra dirty load. For a natural fabric softer you can use vinegar and just pour it into the same place you would usually put the softener. For natural dryer sheets try a damp cloth with a little vinegar and essential oils (vegan option), or Wool Dryer balls with some essential oils!
